Module 2 Practice test 1

1. View the contents of the floppy disk. Explore the directory structure.
2. Create a directory called Practice Test 1 and two sub-directories called Copied and Moved
3. Open a text editor program (Notepad) and add your name, the date and the text ECDL Module 2 practice test 1. This file will be called your answer file.
4. Find all files with the extension gif and enter the total number found on the next line of the answer file. Add a line to your answer file saying how many files were found.
5. Save the answer file in the Practice Test directory using your candidate number as the file name. Print a copy of the answer file.
6. From the Files directory, move the three largest files into the Moved directory
7. Copy all files of type txt to the Copied directory.
8. Rename files starting with Aug so they start with Oct
9. Delete the two oldest files in the Months directory.
10. Delete all files in the Trash directory and remove this directory from the disk

Module 2 Practice test 2

4. Find all files with the extension txt and enter the total number found on the next line of the answer file. Add a line to your answer file saying how many files were found.
5. Save the answer file in the Practice Test directory using your candidate number as the file name. Print a copy of the answer file.
6. From the Files directory, move the two oldest files into the Moved directory
7. From the Files directory, copy all files named File20 or above to the Copied directory.
8. Rename files starting with May so they start with Jan
9. Delete the two largest files in the Months directory.
10. Delete all files in the Trash directory and remove this directory from the disk
