An excellent site. Contains information about Emily
Brontė, a background to the novel, short and full summary, character list and chapter
summaries. The only problem with this site is the amount of annoying and unrelated pop-up
advertisements but if you can get by them it's certainly worth visiting.
Sparknotes
Contains very good information on context, plot overview, themes
and character analysis. In addition there are chapter by chapter summaries, quotations and
key facts.

Context, author, characters and chapter summaries. Bookwolf is
also an online book shop.
Summary Central
Very short but intelligent summary that looks at main and minor
characters as well as symbols and references. Quite unusual.
Novel Guide
The usual high standard from Novel Guide. Summaries, character
profiles and metaphor and theme analyses.
Book Rags
Good character, plot and context studies. The chapter summaries
are excellent. Well worth a surf.
