   The humanitarian situation in Africa is deteriorating. This is largely due to repercussions of draught and the deteriorating economy. It is believed that 425,000 children (under 14) live in extreme poverty.

Some of the donors for the project trying to eliminate poverty are: Sweden, Canada, Finland, Norway and the US. Other regular support came from Netherlands and Japan.
