Weeks before the actual VC we decided to find posters that looked like they came from around the time of the war. We managed to find some good ones and stuck them to the walls where the person on the other end would see.

When the time came for the conference we sat down, only to travel back through time to the First World War. There we were greeted by a cheerful English soldier on his watch. He told us all about the various facts of war like the food, the clothing, the duties and everything about being a typical English troop in the trench.

He showed us the various pieces of equipment he had to carry and where he kept and cleaned his gun.

After he had finished showing us all this it was our turn to ask questions. I think most people managed at least two to him.

But just as we had finished our questions he was called back to his duty and we had to sign off, saying good bye to him and the First World War.
